The Three-Legged Challenge

Do you remember back in 2014 BBC Yorkshire organised the TANDEM TOUR OF YORKSHIRE. Harry Gration and Amy Garcia cycled the entire Yorkshire route and raised over £150,000 for Sport Relief.

Well this year we are back with an even harder challenge “THE 3 LEGGED CHALLENGE

Harry Gration and Paul Hudson will attempt to walk over 100 miles from Roherham to York via Barnsley, Clayton West, Huddersfield, Halifax, Bradford, Otley, Harrogate, Tockwith and dozens of towns and villages in between.

This is a very tough challenge and we are hoping to raise lots of money and meet lots of people along the route. The full route will available to view on our Facebook page and website- you will also be able to track our progress nearer on the day.

Last time many communities and businesses helped us by fund raising and organising groups of people to cheer us on.  We are getting in touch to say we are passing you on Thursday 17th March and we wondered if you may be able to help us?

We would love people to spread the word that we are coming -the crowds really will encourage Harry and Paul + they may throw a few coins in our collection buckets!

We would also greatly appreciate people who can help us fund raise in advance of us arriving. Maybe if you are a school you could organise a nonuniform day?

If you are a pub maybe you could hold a quiz night? Or pop a collection box on the bar

Shops maybe you could hold a raffle or have a collection box on the counter

Any form of fund raising you can do to help us would be fantastic -then as we pass through maybe you can pop out and give the money directly to Harry and Paul.

If you can organise an event or display a collection box we’d love to hear about it. We can also email or send you a poster to display- these can be used to advertise your event or to let people know we’ll be passing through.

We were amazed what people did last time – church groups organised coffee mornings, pubs had collections, schools fund raised- please help us make this year an even bigger success.

If you can help, would like any posters or just want to ask something please contact me- jonathan.parker@bbc.co.uk or call 0781307 4421
